Our story began in the late 1990s, when Kier Cook launched Keys Maintenance Operations. With the support of his sister, Nicole Cook, and his wife, Michelle Cook, this effort grew into Royal K Janitorial in the early 2000s. Kier’s entrepreneurial drive led him to invest in two cleaning franchises before pursuing his own independent path. In the mid-2000s, he partnered with his brother-in-law, Phillip Smith, to establish CookSmith Facility Care, a venture that flourished through strong teamwork and client trust.

Building on decades of success, Kier founded Strategy Building Services in 2021 to bring together his experience and passion for innovation. Today, Strategy focuses on more than just cleaning — we partner with clients to develop tailored maintenance plans that enhance the beauty, safety, and performance of their facilities.
